Oh dear, what have I done

I created an archive folder (a new pst folder saved on my C drive rather than the server) a while ago which now contains emails from 2001!! Therefore I created a new pst folder to store all my old emails in so I could burn them to disk to save space. The new pst file was created fine - however, when I tried to move the emails over it took forever and then crashed (i.e. I clicked on task manager and it said program not responding). I have since rebooted a few times but I cannot access the original archive folder anymore (although I can the new one). Since there are loads of files in this archive folder that I didn't try and move over (like emails from this year) that I do need - I need to have access to it!!

What can I do???

How big is the archive file you can't access? The reason that I ask is that
the file does have file size limitations and the inbox repair tool
(scanpst.exe) will not be able to fix it. (There is another tool you can
try from Microsoft, but you will suffer data loss.)

/neo

the file size limit is 2gb. if the file is below this size, it might be
possible to repair using the inbox repair tool. (try running the tool
against a copy of the pst file you can't open.)
