I had a virus in my computer the network administrator
managed to wipe my hard drive clean. Is there some way to
recover any of this information? Any help appreciated.

There are a few utilities on the market, such as Nortons
toolbox that can recover files from a formated harddrive.
However, when you reinstall system it may write over some
all or none of files you want to recover. Also, the virus
that was in your system may be reactivated by recovering
those files. If it were me, first remove the harddrive or
intall another. Then install the syetem to the new drive
or install your old hard drive in another computer. Use
one of the many format recovery tools to recover your
files, and scan them with an anivirus program. If all is
clear, save your files to a backup disk, reformat and
reinstall.

Only if your company is willing to pay for data recovery which is very
expensive.

As always the cheapest method is backup, backup, backup.
