every time i try to load a game it downloads o.k but then when it comes to
playing it, it says theres an error and has to close

What is "a game" - a specific game?
When you say "download", I think "from the Internet" - is that the wrong
assumption?
What is the error you get?

ok i bought empire earth from hmv and installed it. it installed ok and gave
me a short cut icon,but then when i try to open the file a little box apears
saying theres an error with EXE and has to shut down thanks
