I was hoping to get directed in the "how-to" aspect of using and editing
templates.
Any suggestions?
Well, without knowing what templates you are using or what you want to do, all
I can really suggest is that you take a look at these tutorial resources:
Jeff Conrad's resources page:

The Access Web resources page:

An Access Template is rather unlike templates in other Office software; it's
actually a fully worked-out sample database with Tables, Forms, Reports and so
on. You can add new tables, alter the design of tables, change or create
queries, alter the structure of forms and so on - but a good understanding of
how the template works "as is" will be essential before you start changing it!
