Hi, I only set up my new Vista computer at the weekend so am still exploring.
Can anyone please tell me why I cannot copy and paste anything?
Is there a way to get it to allow that?

Are you talking about copying from within IE7?

Do you have the google toolbar installed?
Uninstall it if you do.

I haven't got it installed, I can't seem to copy and paste anywhere, not in
IE or word pad etc either,

I assume you have left clicked, held it down and dragged it over what you
wish to copy and paste. If not the copy and paste function will not work. Did
you right click on the highlighted area before trying to access the copy
function? Are you having any problems with your clipboard functions?

Are the copy and paste functions missing from your right click menu or are
they grayed out? It's possible that your Clipboard or IE is corrupted. Have
you tried a System Restore to the first day you started using Vista?

Did you upgrade from XP to Vista on a computer you already have or is this a
new computer? If a new computer, did it come with XP or Vista already
installed? If you upgraded from XP was this an overlay upgrade or a clean
install? Have you transferred any files to your Vista OS lately? Did you
download and install any programs since first using the Vista OS?

You need to provide more information so that a qualified person can give you
some suggestions or an answer to your problem. Unfortunately, I am not one of
these people.

Yes I did all the usual copy and paste things (as you describe)
But copy comes up ok, its paste that is greyed out.

It was a whole new Vista computer not an upgrade.

I have only installed ITunes on it since getting it.
 
if the paste is grayed out, usually would indicate the copy/cut did not work correctly so there is nothing to paste.
