i need access to my program files without going into my hard drive and
clicking on program files. how do i access them from my start menu or make
them avaliable on the start menu

It isn't clear to me exactly what you're asking. Do you have some programs
that are not showing in Start | Programs, and you would like them there so
you can start them from there?

If so, Start | Programs is simply an image of the folder
C:\Documents and Settings\your user name\Start Menu\Programs. You can add or
delete shortcuts to programs there as desired.
