Help!!!

Hello recently i have tried to format my main hard drive in MS- DOS.
have tried typing Format C: /s, Format C: and many other variations bu
none of them work. It always says Bad Command or something like that.
Please can you help me srt out this problem as i am in despearte nee
of help

you would need to boot to a floppy ...you cannot format the drive you are
using :>

www.bootdisk.com

if you are reinstalling XP , just boot to the CD , it has the tools you need
to format/reinstall

XP doesn't HAVE any sort of DOS so that's why you get the error.
Boot from your XP CD and you will get the option to format your HDD.

BTW, why do you need to format? That's usually the last resort.......
