I have a few files in my documents which i wish to
delete. When i try to open them it says to specify the
right file location and stuff like that. when i try to
delete them it says stuff like cannot read from source
disk. the files are all 0 bytes in size and the folder
they are in says folder empty but there are still icons
for them there. when i run the wipe data feature on
norton systemworks it says access to them is denied. they
are not causing any harm but its annoying that they are
there. CAN ANYONE HELP ME?

I've just tried that and the mouse pointer changes into
the egg timer thing for a split second but the icons stay
there. Thanx for trying. The files are definately corrupt
but i dont know what to do about them.

Try hitting F5 (refresh). They might have already been deleted and are just
showing up still.

I think that there are 2 possibilities: corrupted files (it happened to me
and could only delete them after scandisk and DOS). Or maybe they're someone
else's property. When in WinXP a file is set not to be shared to another
user of the computer, to that user it will be shown as 0kb and will not be
able to read it nor delete it.
(does that msg have a good grammar? lol)

have u tried emptying your recycle bin as i had a similar
problem 2 months ago as i had some documents on my
desktop and if i opened them they would open etc and so
my friend just told me to empty recycle bin and they
disappeared.
