HELP!!!

I have a few directories in my own profile "Private" as i tend to share the root directories on our home network, but...
I had to reinstall windows today and STUPIDLY forgot to remove the private key from these two directories. Now with win xp up and running again i can not access the files inside the documents and settings directory, can not seem to get windows to accept it as an existing account etc etc... I badly need these files as my last backup was a year ago :( Please if anyone knows a back door, a program i can get to release the lock or even a way to reintegrate the user account please help me. To make matters even better i cant access me email account either at the moment...
 
What do you mean by "private key"? That usually refers to EFS file encryption.
If those files were encrypted and you do not have your EFS private key then
those files are good as gone. If your reinstall was not a format of the system
partition and you still have a copy of your previous user profile then you may
be able to extract the private key with a paid support call to Microsoft or
possibly a third party EFS key recovery program. If you simply mean that you can
not access the files due to lack of permission , then you may need to take
ownership first as an administrator and then grant yourself full permission as
described in the KB link below. --- Steve
