wupdater.exe
[[We have little information on this task except that it is responsible for
popup and popunder advertisements and frustrating shutdown problems whether
the PC either fails to shut down properly, or the end- user gets "Wupdater
not responding" errors. We do not at this stage know the various ways in
which it finds itself on someone's PC, except that on the odd occasion that
we have come across it the end-user had recently installed a screensaver
they'd downloaded from the web.]]
tvtmd.exe

It is known as Scumware. Visit these sites. Download, install, run, update
and
run again; one or all. They are all good, FREE utilities.
The first site gives some recommendations.

In Bob <
[email protected]> hunted and pecked:
I've got several programs on my system that I cannot
delete. I am running XP with Norton Systemworks 2004...
and after the Norton scan, I receive a report stating 3
threats on my system:
biprep.exe
wupdater.exe
tvtmd.exe
I am unable to delete them through Norton, or through a
file search... Once I locate them, a window pops up saying
I cannot delete the program because I do not have
authorization.
What in the heck go on to my computer, and how in the
world do I get if off?
Any help would be greatly appreciated...
