help!!

my friend cannot log onto her computer at all. when she tries to log on an error message comes up saying something along the lines of 'logon cannot be found' then the computer restarts. she mentioned that a windows application had been popping up over the past few days but didnt say nething else. shes really desperate for help and i'm the only one who can access the internet for help. she uses windows xp and i dont know if it is any relevance but she recently had 1mb broadband installed. any immediate help would be fantastic!!

sounds like the sasser virus to me! can she click cancel
at logon and bypass the logon. if so she needs to patch
her PC as per the MS website and run the virus killer -
Always on internet access without a firewall and up to
date virus protection is a huge risk - she may have paid
the price. Sorry
