I cannot figure out how to change the default media player for my web
browser, it currently runs quicktime. i often try watching avi format videos
online but apparently quicktime doesnt fully suppoirt this format. I can
heard the video but it will not display the video itself. I would like to
make windows media player my default media player for my web browser.
responses would be greatly appreciated.

Note: I am using internet explorer version 6

Open C: Drive go to Tools>Folder Options>File Types>Find the type of file
you want to use WMP for and set it as the default player.

It already is the default player for this type of file but for some reason
quicktime has taken over and tries to play ity every time i want to watch it
in the web browser i used to be able to click the link and it would open WMP
and play it but not anymore
i tried removing quicktime and re-installling since alot of my stuff needs
quicktime, it worked for a little while and now it is back to doing the same
thing, i havent even rebooted it yet.

Look in the settings of QuickTime and see if they can be turned off from
there.
