I have a very important computer that was coming up with the following error:
"c:\windows\system\vgaoem.fon is missing or corrupted"
Finially got the file copied using a tool I have and now when the computer
starts it comes up with the scree "Sorry, Windows didnt start
properly......." and gives the options for Safe Mode, Last known good, etc...
I have tried all these options and the Windows XP logo now appears with the
blue bar, it stays for about 10 seconds, and then reboots back to the same
screen. It' s in a loop.
Please help and thanks.

Yes I have saw that. I wrote I successfully copied the file. Now I am getting
another problem.

Can you start in Safe Mode (when BIOS screen turns black hit several times F8)? Go to Device Manager (rigth click on My PC>Properties). Is there any yellow or red sign? I think you have drivers problem.

No it wont start in safe mode, as I said. When the XP logo comes up and the
blue bar scrolls under it, it's there for about 10 seconds and then reboots.

You can try booting from the Windows CD and repair the Windows installation
using Recovery Console. RuZZ
