Help. let me start by sayin I an not real good at spelling or typing.please bare with me.
My other computer(net worked downstairs) started rebooting all by itself this am. I put the Ghost recovery disk(floppy) in and ran it. Back to basics. First I Reinstalled Linksys wirelessmodual. then did all 49 critical updates. all installed with no errors. then I reInstalled my norton 2004 and did live updates.
still working great. then I tryed to upgrade my AOL to 9.0 from 7.0 and the same crashing reboot thing started again.
I shut it down and want to kick it out the back door.
any and all help is truely welcome.
thanks in advance

Allan,

The fact that it happened immediately after you installed the AOHELL
software should have been clue enough. Follow the steps below and your
problems will be over: -

1) Take the AOHELL CD

2) If you are old enough to drive, and have a licence, place it in the
middle of the drive and back over it several times.

3) If you are not old enough to drive - or don't have a licence - place
said CD in the microwave and cook on full power for a couple of minutes - it
really is fascinating, and most satisfying, to watch.

4) Place resulting mess in the rubbish

5) Pick up the phone, call AOHELL 'Customer Service' and tell them you
wish to cancel your account. Do *NOT*, under any circumstances, let them
dissuade you from cancelling with free months.

6) Ask people for recommendations for a proper ISP.

7) Call new ISP of choice and sign up.

There! Problem solved.

Unfortunately, removing AOHELL's trojanic software will, most likely,
require a complete format and reinstall.

MissPT ,
so you say if I get rid of AOL I'll be OK?
I have found I can UnInsta,ll about anything, usually something I really need. I will go try to get rid of all the aol stuff in my programs, I think I remember about 4 or 5 different aol programs there.
wish me luck.
