I have an XP pro computer that needs to be setup to go ONLY to a new
"intranet" site eg. www.mysite.com for manufacturing users. The problem is
there is an intern that uses this computer on Fridays and needs access to the
internet. Also, we use a Watchguard firewall, however I am really not that
familiar with it yet, I am sure you could blobk access to a certain host, but
not specific users.

My question is what are my options. For now, I have set up a fake proxy
server on the computer and allowed exception to the site. The problem with
this is that there are many links on the site, and I would have to navigate
through all of them and add exceptions for each.

I have locked down the ability to change the proxy settings through Group
Policy, and for the intern user configured no Proxy under her sign-on.

Is there an easier way?? Thanks for the help.

one option is modify the routing table on the computer and make it access www.mysite.com only. this page may help too, http://howtonetworking.com/Internet/restrictie0.htm
Don't send e-mail or reply to me except you need consulting services. Posting on MS newsgroup will benefit all readers and you may get more help.

I recommend Brinkster for web hosting!

A suggestion - configure the proxy to be password protected and it allows
only access to the "internet" (outside world). Make using the proxy the
only way to get to the outside world. Configure IE to "bypass" the proxy
when accessing "intranet" (internal sites). At least that's how we've
configured it for over 5000 PC, Laptops, servers, mainframes, etc.
