"Hardware DEP: Software DEP in use. Upgrade." ?
"wmiprvse: Process no longer exists" ?
Could anyone explain what the above statements mean & perhaps how to
fix them?
All advice gratefuly accepted.

Thanks for the response, Rick. I ran SisSoftSandra and these statements
were in the tips returned after a diagnostics check. I haven't a clue
what "DEP" is nor "wmiprvse".
But if doing what SisSoft advises makes my PC run better, why not? :-)
There were no "errors" shown at all. What do you reckon, Rick?

Hi Sandy,

DEP = Data Execution Prevention. This keeps malicious software from running
from protected areas of memory. It can be supported by hardware, but if not
there is a still a software level to protect the average user. The "error"
is not an error at all, but just a message that you are using the software
version and could upgrade by changing/upgrading hardware. The other is a
service used in a managed environment, something you likely do not need.

You might want to provide as much detail as possible to help people figure
this one out. The site below should be used as a troubleshooting checklist
to help make the best questions.
