I disabled System Restore temporarily a week or so ago, so I could delete
some bad virus files. After I did that I turned it back on. I know that it
deletes all your previous restore points, but I just checked today, and I
have no restore points at all since turning it back on. Shouldn't it have
automatically created some? I have searched for help on this topic, but it
keeps saying " Right click on My Computer and select Properties>System
Restore. Then highlight the appropriate drive and click 'Settings'." When I
try to do this I see no place to highlight the drive and no "Settings" button
anywhere?! I can see that it is running, it is just not creating any restore
points, although it will let me create one. Can anyone help? Thank you.

Regarding "Right click on My Computer and select Properties>System Restore.
Then highlight the appropriate drive and click 'Settings'."

Those instructions don't work on my XP Home system which is running fine so
I suspect that they are crap.
