Does anyone know where I can get a list of the files that
are supposed to be in my system 32 folder? I want to
compare them to what I have so that I can delete all the
extra stuff... I am down to my last wit here because it
keeps opening when I start windows, and none of the
solutions that have been posted here have worked. I know
I have a trojan horse that alters the system 32 folder,
so I'm thinking maybe I can get rid of the files it has
created and that may help.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I tried the fix you listed, and it said that the expected
registry paramater was missing or something along those
lines... bottom line is it didn't work, and I can't
figure out why.
I also did look to symantec and followed the directions
to get rid of the virus(es) on my computer. The one that
I have detected multiple times now is Downloader
MSCache.exe, and every time I do what I need to do to
remove it, and I have no luck.
All I know is that my system 32 folder has been opening
on startup for almost 3 weeks now, and everything I have
tried has not helped at all. The only other reason I
could think that this may be happening is that I got
AdAware... it started happening after I got that program,
though I can't see what that could have to do with
anything (it's a spam/spyware killer).

Thanks for your help, and I appreciate any other
suggestions you may have.

Correction, ad-aware has been kicked out of COAST (Consortium of
Anti-Spyware Technology Vendors) because they started to do funny
things with their software. The other vendors noticed this. Apparently
if you use the free copy they scan your machine to see what other
spyware killer programs you use and they upload code to make ad-aware
not work right and actually hurt your computer. This is what I heard
and after using it, I can believe it.

Wow, thanks for the heads up on that one... I had no idea
there was even a COAST. All I know is that I don't like
spyware... I'll get rid of Adaware and get something else.
