Try removing the device from your system. Right-click on My Computer and choose "Properties" and then the "Hardware" tab. Click the "Device Manager" button and look fo
your sound card. Right-click it and select uninstall. You will be warned that you are about to remove the device. Click OK, and exit. Reboot your computer and XP shoul
find "new" hardware (your sound card) and install the drivers. I hope this works for you
