Help with Right$ Expression

I have a column of data that I want to separate using Right$. The column
contains elements such as ABC-DEFGH or ABCD-EFGHI or ABC-DE or ABCD-EFG, etc.
I want to be able to place all of the characters right of the '-' into a
separate column. Can you help?

As long as there is only *one* hyphen, I'd use the Mid() function:

NewColumn: Mid(OldColumn, InStr(OldColumn, "-") +1)

Note: The Mid function has 3 parameters, but if you leave off the 3rd, it
assumes you mean to the end of the string.
