Help with recovering backed up files

I am trying to recover my backed up personal folders, after my PC
crashed. I am running Outlook 2000 SP-3. When I try and run the
utility is states that the files are either corrupted or only
available for a previous version. Can anybody help?

What utility are you trying to use?

If you have PST files backed up, open them in file | open....if you backed
them up & burned a CD, copy the files to your hard drive and remove the
read-only attribute first.
