A better question would be why are you singling out those ports. I bet
you aren't using a firewall.
There are ports numbered from 0 through 65535. If you are concerned
about specific ports you should go to
http://grc.com/PortDataHelp.htm
and enter them into the fields. (Bookmark the site for future
reference.)
Then go to
http://grc.com/default.htm (again bookmark for future
reference) and click on the link for "ShieldsUp!". I'd give the link
straight to it but clicking on the ShieldsUp! link will take you a page
that explains a bit about what will happen if you are new to the site. I
highly recommend it. Steve Gibson is a trusted name in security.
Also, if you aren't using a firewall, get Zone Alarm. There is a
freeware version that will give all the protection you need. You can get
from CNet.com and search the site for it. Or search the web for zone
labs.
