Help with numbers

How do you lead of with a zero on a spreadsheet? For example, 000635.
Excel wants to delete the zeros with just 635 in the cell.

You can start by formatting your cells as "Text" or you can start typing
your numbers with an apostrophe e.g '00234.
The apostrophe will not show in the cells

Hi,

If you want to display 6 digit always then highlight the range and choose
Format, Cells, Number tab, Custom and enter 000000 in the Type box.
