I have a hp 17in flat panel monitor and a regular 17in
compaq monitor. When I view my website
http://www.anycruisetravel.com on the flat panel, it's
all off center, moving to the left. Screen Resolution is
set at the recommended 1280x1024. On the compaq it's set
at 800x600. I've tried all the sizes and the only way the
site looks right is on 800x600 res which makes everything
huge. Any help?
Thanks

My resolution is set to 32bit, 1024x768. I have a Viewsonic A70f (17in flat panel). Viewed your web
site. It is perfect in size.

He doesn't mean the size. If you maximise the window then components align
to the left rather than staying centered. This is an HTML problem and NOT an
XP problem.

I've tried settng it on every res. and still does not work

Edit the HTML using Notepad or pay someone to fix it. Some of the elements
on the page have a fixed width and some don't hence the problem.

Nice way to get free advertising....

I just looked at your site in 1024 x 768. A perfect fit width-wise.
You did not try 1024 x 768 , which is the most common used I think.
1280 x 1024 is very large, and yes, the web-site would be over to the
left. Because I think, but I am not sure, that a lot of web-sites are
written for 1024 x 768, & if it is the right application that did it,
the page will shrink to fit a 800 x 600 resolution too.

But then other web pages are just written for 800 x 600. To see what I
am talking about, go to my home page at:

www.comcast.net

The page looks like it is written for 800 x 600, and on my 1024 x 768
it is over to the left somewhat. But it looks OK and natural even
though off center for me. But yes, you would really notice with that
huge resolution you run. Drop your radical flat panel resolution down
to 1024 x 768. You'll see things better too.
