I already posted this request, but since it only takes a couple hours before it is off the front page, I am posting it again

Is there a way to manually setup a home network in Windows XP Home. My reason for asking is my home networking wizard will not start. Even an "Upgrade in Place" did not solve the problem. I really do not want to have to reinstall Windows for such a small issue, especially when it is the only one I currently have

Any help would be appreciated.

LJT,

A home network can be manually setup in XP Home - or any other Windows OS.

Start - Settings - Network Connections gives you the manual networking wizard.
If your network card has been installed, it should appear in the list there, and
right click - Properties will let you setup the connection. If not, File - New
Connection will help you setup a new connection.

If your system is corrupted to the point that File - New Connection will not
help, you may have worse problems than just the wizard not starting.

Cheers,
Chuck
