Hi.. I have an interesting and perplexing problem and I was
wondering
if anyone here could possibly shed some light on this for me.

I have a friend that has Hotmail and I have G-mail. Now... we get
some of our email.... but not ALL of them.

This has resulted in me missing dinner invitations and her thinking
that perhaps I was ignoring her emails.

Now... we are both in each others address books correctly and
assuming
everything is OK with how we send them etc.... what are some
possible
causes of this mail just getting lost in Cyberspace?

Is this common? Perhaps Hotlmail and G-mail don't like each
other...? LOL and if anyone could offer some possible solutions
that would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Are you using Outlook to check your gmail? if so, are you using pop3 or
imap? Did you check the junk email folder?

Yes... I am using OE to access my email from G-Mail. However... I
also went on the WEB SIDE of G-Mail, checked all of my folders and
have found none of the "lost" emails.

Thank You

E-mail has never been a 100% safe medium (neither has snail-mail). And
in these days of heavy spam filtering, messages may get suppressed at
the sending server or receiving server side.

If you don't get a reply within the expected period, send a simple
message like "Did you get my message on Oct/20?".

Messages from Hotmail, Yahoo, and Gmail may sometimes be filtered
altogether, as a *lot* of spam originates from these three.
