I am configuring my computer to work at college, but i've
run into this problem... When I open up my connections it
says i have an internet gateway to some other computer and
it doesn't allow me the ability to disable it.
Now it shows that the LAN/High Speed Internet connection
is working, transmitting data, and sustaining the IP
number I put in there, but the internet won't connect
after repeated tries because when I try to connect to the
gatewayed computer it doesn't work and says "disconnected".
SO... How do I remove this internet gateway? I don't know
how it got on there nor do I know what computer it is
linked too. I've tried using the network and internet
setup programs and nothing will get rid of it. Please
help, I am using XP Pro.
