Andrew

I am using the embedded XP to try to install the OS on an 333 MHz PC.
It had windows 2000 on it, and I created the PMQ file, and I built the
image. I then formatted the drive on the PC, and copied the files
over to the PC, but it does not load the OS. Am I missing a file(s)
for this, or what is my next step?

Hi Andrew

Do you have the boot files in your root directory?
(ntldr, ntdetect.com, boot.ini, ...)

If FAT formated, is your partition active?
Use bootprep.exe for this

What is the error message?

Yes, I've copied everything from the image build folder to the root directory.

I do not have an active partition. I will try out the bootprep.

The bootprep worked, and I get to a lovely blue screen after
the embedded splash screen

Process1_Initialization_Failed

Hi Andrew,

You probably forgot to add File System support I guess FAT support in your case. Go in TD and add FAT related component.
If you have more problems please create new thread.

Best regards,
Slobodan
