Hello....
I am using Windows XP Home with IE 6.0. If I launch a
second window from within IE by right clicking, the new
window always opens as a quarter-screen. The question is,
how do I change the setting for the new window so it
opens maximized? I've looked for setting but came up
empty..Tried a few things but nothing...
Any help would be great...
thanks!

Well how bout that.... that did the trick...
thanks Alan....

Try stretching the small window to full size. (Do not use Maximize)
Ensure that window is the last one closed and IE should remember the
size next time.

....or look here for more information and an instant change:

I see several persons have this same problem, as do I. The suggested solution of manually stretching the window to "full size" may work but that is not the same thing as opening the window "maximized". I want my windows opened maximized, not just full screen. I used one of the free software programs available and they work except they open everything full screen, even windows not meant to be full screen. Isn't there a happy medium?

relevant1,
In some cases the "Remember last window size" info becomes corrupted in the
Registry.
