When I try to start my laptop, Windows XP attempts to start
but stops at the blue screen for the Windows Welcome and
does not promp me for a logon and password nor is my
desktop displayed. Pushing the off button or the cntl,
alt, del does not get me out of this screen. It hangs and
the only way I can turn the machine off is to unplug and
remove the battery.
I have pressed F8 at startup and have selected the safeway,
safeway with command line and Last known good configuration
options with no success to get past this point.
