my computer is from 2001 and i have too many virsuses on it. i'd love to
just "start over". unfortunately, i dont have my Windows XP Professional disk
or my restoration disk anymore, but there must be some way to fix it so i can
have a "fresh start." i dont need any of the information on my computer
anymore (i dont care if i lose all the stuff thats already on there) does
anyone know how to restore my computer to its original factory settings?

You can only start afresh if either
1) You have the winxp cd
or
2) Your hd has a hidden recover partition - see your PC manu web site for
help

Then you're probably left with buying a new windows installation disk.
