Hi all,

I would be very greatful if someone can help me with thism one:

Sometimes (yeah I know... not always...)when I close a program it
remains in the task manager (I can see it under processes, it's not
under applications).

When I try to rerun the program it won't come up.
When I try to close Windows, it won't.

It lasts forever until windows 'closes' to 'saving surrent settings'
and hangs there.
At first I thought that windows hung on the desktop, but I left it on
for some hour or so and then I saw the 'saving your settings' screen.

Does anyone have a clue????????

HW:
Asus P4PE-X
Cel 1700
1 Gb mem
GeForce4 MX4440

Windows XP Pro
Alle updates applied
The latest videodrivers etc installed.

Thanks a lot for your attention.

Go into Your Services and change NviDia Driver Helper Service from automatic start too manual start .
You can also try this registry tweak -it setting on how long Windows will wait before killing a hung service
at shutdown -default setting is 20,000 but I have it set for 1000 and My XP can shutdown faster then it
can startup -and startup time is only 32 seconds . For You, I would try 15000 at first then keep cut that
number until You get Windows shutting down right -in good time , why wait forever for Windows to do it
for You.

cut & paste too notepad save as reg file .
