I have been searching every website and book that came
with my computer and I cannot find where the website is
to actually activate my microsoft windows or the phone
number to call to activate. All I can find is
information on why you need to activate and how but not
the actual numbers or url addresses. Please help me,
i've been trying for day's and extremely frustrated. I
have the microsoft windows xp home edition. I would
greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Are you joking? ...if you don't activate XP you'll keep getting the annoying
message in the system tray telling you how many days left for activation.
If you double click on it, it'll take you to the activation screen. If you
don't get that message then that's probabaly because it's already activated
or because you're running an illegal (cracked) copy of Windows.

The best place to start when you have questions about Microsoft products
is their knowledge base.

1. Go to the Microsoft home page http://www.microsoft.com, click on
SUPPORT, click on SEARCH THE KNOWLEDGE BASE, in the SEARCH FOR box, type
"activate". This will take you to:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=307890&product=winxp

or,

2. START - HELP and SUPPORT - in SEARCH box, type "activate":

Until you have activated your copy of Windows XP, an Activate icon
appears in the system tray. You can click on the icon to initiate
activation. This icon will not appear in the system tray after you have
activated Windows XP.

or,

3. START - ALL PROGRAMS - ACCESSORIES - SYSTEM TOOLS - ACTIVATE WINDOWS
