Help w/ a Doctors office

Greetings,

Im new to this so please bare in mind.I would like to set
up a Doctors office from the ground up. I would be running
running a windows based health management program in
addition to MS Office/ 3 computers in office( 2 Staff/ 1
Doctor) and a laptop for the Doctor so she could work from
home. I would like wireless for the office with access to
a Dsl Line for Remote Desktop or VPN. Peer to peer or
server? Share files and printing and internet. XP
Professional? Back up? data Power backup?
Any ideas and or experience anyone could share with me
would be appreciated. I need to purchase all hardware and
make this as easy and cost effective for the Doctor.

Don't take this the wrong way, but based on the questions you are asking and
the criticality of the data you need to protect, you are way over your head.
I suggest hiring a consultant who is familiar with setting up the
environment you describe and work hand-in-hand with him/her to accomplish
the needs of the doctor's office you propose.
 
Yes I plan to do that/ my goal was to educate myself
further so we could better qualify the consultant. Thanks
for the advise.
