HELP>> virus email is still getting into my mailbox

Remember the email virus attachment tt disguises itself as a microsoft html
newletter. I still getting this virus even though i have long installed the
patch. I have norton to protect my emails but its really irritating as i get
an average of 3 such virus email newsletter everyday.

My computer is connected to the company network. so is there anyway to stop
this?

any pointers will help. thanks

.What patch are you refering to?

Their is NO patch to stop people from sending you an
e/mail virus!

Patching windows has no effect on email showing up in your inbox that may
carry viruses. The patching will in theory prevent your PC from becoming
infected by these messages. Stopping these emails from showing up in your
inbox is a little more complicated. Commercial and freeware mail scanners
are available that can detect infected email and delete or quarantine it.
These scanners are now in common use but not commonly by individuals.
