I had uninstalled the outlook2000 before installing the outlook2003. However, i forgot to backup the mails in outlook. now, i cann't recover the letters! My boss would fire me for this terrible mistake. So, your helps are all needed. Thanks in advance!

Uninstalling the product shouldn't remove any local data files. Try using
Windows Explorer to search for *.PST files if working with a POP/IMAP/SMTP
account. If you where working with an Exchange account, the items should
still be on the server.

ps - do not forget to configure windows explorer to show you all
hidden/system files. (note: windows xp will also require you to configure
the search to look in/for hidden/system files as well)

Fortunately MS Apps are very difficult to remove
completely - i would put my money on that simply
installing Outlook 2003(providing it's on the same
partition) will restore the previous settings.

Follow Neo's advice, but be sure to enable searching in hidden files and
folders if your operating system is Windows 2000/XP.
