Long story short.
My friend wanted to buy some of my hardware as I was ready to upgrade with
new stuff.

So I sold him my 2 sata hard drives and my DVD writer.
I have Windows Media Center Edition 2005.

I booted into OS with no CD ROM or DVD and It asks I need to activate windows.
So I click next and the next windows says it is already activated then it
brings me back to the CONTROL ALT DELETE screen I tried this under my
account then admin account and get same result. oh and for you skeptics out
there ... YES IT IS A LEGIT copy REAL MS product and isn't pirate. Should I
reisntall the OS?
Also has any MCE user experienced this? please email me guys!!!! HELP!
I bought Vista OEM but my DRIVE is regular CD rom and not DVD.

I've heard of similar events, make enough changes to the system and WGA says
you have to reactivate. does it give you a number to call??

NOPE...... it just spits me back to the control alt del log in screen.

Pretty rude if you ask me...

the link WGA diag download worked but every other link inside there was busted.

Why does microsoft like to delete badly needed information?

(I NEED A REPLY FROM A MICROSOFT EMPLOYEE NOT FROM INDIA)

To recap my problem I am in an endless loop to log in then it says I need to
reactivate my version of windows then I click ok to go onto the next windows
then it says it is already activated then it sends me back to the log in
windows(ctrl alt del)

Grrrr!

This is a peer group where answers are provided by other Windows users.
Once in a while you may see posts from "real" Microsoft employees but
for all intents and purposes it is fair to say that no one from
Microsoft will answer you in these groups.

This is a peer to peer newsgroup, not official MS support. Occasionally an
MS employee will post here but on their own time.

You might want to post to the WGA forum for more focused help.

Microsoft is simply suggesting that maybe it's time to wipe that toy
operating system off your computer and install a real operating system like
Ubuntu.

Cheers.
