Help! Uninstall failed XP setup

Thanks Carey but no good. Those options are for
uninstalling XP once it has been installed. It is only
half installed on my machine. I tried those options and
it just says not possible since XP has not been fully
installed. Then it proceeds again with the setup which
always hangs at the same place. I just want to start my
old Win98. Shouldn't this be possible?
 
At this point, you cannot return to Windows 98.
Perform the following after disconnecting all hardware
peripheral devices, except for the monitor, keyboard and mouse:
