Help troubleshooting

I was wondering if someone could help me troubleshoot my database. I copied
part of a database I got from someone that has a calendar where you can click
on a date and enter their leave information to track. Well, I thought I have
everything working except two things:

1. I can't get the information I enter into the calendar to show up in the
table it corresponds with
2. The combo box on the pop-up input form tells me what I choose isn't part
of that group (though it's set to look-up and pull from a specific table).

I pretty much copied everything over and changed the stuff to my names. I
have gone over the code with a fine-tooth comb and cannot figure out where I
have gone wrong. I have recently learnt some code and am teaching myself
more (with the help of books and websites), but I don't think I'm good enough
to figure this out. It's a lot of information so I was hoping I could e-mail
it to someone to go over if they have the time or a chance. If not, could
y'all point me somewhere where I could get that done?

Thanks,
Brooke

Brooke,

I'm between projects and have a little free time. I'll look at it for free.

See my contact section on my website for email info etc....
If you could give me a detailed description of the issue in the email that
would help,

You again! As you have been told, this is a volunteer newsgroup. Your
solicitations are inappropriate.

Brooke,

I provide the help you are looking for for a very reasonable fee. If you
want my help, send me a detailed description of the help you need with a
copy of your database and I will be glad to give you a quote of my fees.

These newsgroups are provided by Microsoft for FREE peer to peer support.
There are many highly qualified individuals who gladly help for free. Stevie
is not one of them, but he is the only one who just does not get the idea of
"FREE" support. He offers questionable results at unreasonable prices. If he
was any good, the "thousands" of people he claims to have helped would be
flooding him with work, but there appears to be a continuous drought and he
needs to constantly grovel for work.

A few gems gleaned from the Word New User newsgroup over the Christmas
holidays to show Stevie's "expertise" in Word.

Word 2007 ..........
In older versions of Word you could highlght some text then go to Format -
Change Case and change the case of the hoghloghted text. Is this still
available in Word 2007? Where?
Thanks! Steve

I am designing a series of paystubs for a client. I start in landscape and
draw a table then add columns and rows to setup labels and their
corresponding value. This all works fine. After a landscape version is
completed, I next need to design a portrait version. Rather than strating
from scratch, I'd like to be able to cut and paste from the landscape
version and design the portrait version.

How do you protect the document for filling in forms?
Steve

One of my favourites:
Dec 30, 2008 8:07 PM - a reply to stevie
(The original poster asked how to sort a list and stevie offered to create
the OP an Access database)
Yes, you are right but a database is the correct tool to use not a
spreadsheet.

Not at all. If it's just a simple list then a spreadsheet is perfectly
adequate...

Brooke,

I didn't get any email? If you just replied to this message you need to
take out the NOSPAM
from the email address (e-mail address removed) or use contact info
found at http://www.rptsoftware.com

You can't put your normal email in newsgroups or you will get spammed.

Mark

No email yet? Try without the file and I can give you a link to upload it.
This weekend looks pretty rainy so I probably could spare a few minutes to
take a look (if you can get me the file)

Mark,

The contact info I sent to at RPT Software was the info address. That was
all I could find. I just resent it without the file to both addresses I
think I have. If this doesn't work I can post my e-mail I use when I know
I'll get Spam and you can send me an e-mail through there if possible. I
don't want to this to turn into a hassle for you though.

Thanks,
Brooke
