HELP ! Trouble installing ViaVoice for Windows

Trouble installing ViaVoice for Windows, Standard Edition,
release 10

Despite first uninstalling my old ' Voicetype Simply
Speaking ' program and removing icons and all file entries
that referred to Voicetype, before attempting
installation, I got the following message

"Setup found an incompatible IBM Speech product installed
on your system. Please uninstall this product and run
setup again."

when trying to install my newly delivered IBM ViaVoice for
Windows, release 10, Standard Edition, (UK English) on my
Dell computer with Windows XP Home edition:-
Can you help me work round this problem, so that I can use
this new software - I would be most grateful ?
