When I got to shut down my system I am having to close out of SEVERAL
sessions of outlook that are running. This time I QAD'd and saw that there
were 6 outlooks running.....HOW CAN I CURE THE PROBLEM?

TIA

Quit opening Outlook so many times.

When I was a System's Tech, I noticed some users would open Outlook from
their TaskBar, 7 or 8 times a day, thinking they were going back to a
previously open window, when in reality they're opening a new Outlook
Session. Just pay attention to what you're clicking on when you toggle
between programs.

If there's a more serious problem, I don't know, what to tell you. Hope
this Helps.

Are these just additinal windows of Outlook or actual processes (see Task
Manager)?

In addition to Micah's remark; put the /recycle switch in your shortcut to
Outlook. This will ensure that the current window will be used instead of
opening a new one.

Tips of the month:
-Properly back-up and restore your Outlook data
-Creating a Permanent New Mail Desktop Alert in Outlook 2003

Okay....here we go.

1) I know that multiple sessions are not being opened by me.....since it is
open all of the time and the computer is never shut off.
2) Disabled the Norton and am waiting to see if it works.

3) I have Winfax....but it is not listed in the data area of Outlook.

THANKS TO ALL....I WILL LET YOU KNOW HOW THESE SOLUTIONS HAVE WORKED.

If you have any further ideas....please do not stop since this has been
going on for two years.
