Rick

I bought a Dell Dimension 4600 with a Pentium 3 ghz and 1 gig of RAM
about 3 or 4 months ago.

I'm running Windows XP.

It seems to go through 'phases' where it becomes extremely unstable.
This occurs every maybe 3 weeks. I get nearly every flavor blue
screen. IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and PFN_LIST_CORRUPT are common errors.
It reboots on it's own as I'm browsing the web or typing emails.

I have the McAfee virus scanner and I've tried running that. Most of
the time, the system crashes before it finishes scanning the whole hard
drive. I've focused on Windows and Documents folders, but I'm coming
up with nothing.

Any suggestions? Is it XP or did I get a lemon of a box? Anybody else
experiencing something similar?
Thanks in advance for any help you might provide.

Rick C.
