Help & Support not working

I have Windows XP Pro (2600SP1) installed and there is a
couple of issues that I can't find a solution to.

1. When I click on the Help & Support icon on the start
bar, nothing happens at all. It wasn't always like
this. I can't say for absolute certainty but I think it
stopped working after installing a security update from
windows update regarding a security vulnerability with
help & support. I've checked my services and Help &
Support is running along with the services it depends on
or services that depend on it.

2. The System Information tool also does not work, I
think it's related because it stopped working about the
same time.

Any ideas and help greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your help, I tried a few of those tips and
downloaded the reg entry scripts but they didn't work.
My problem still exists. Odd!
