Friends,

Please refer to the attached Sheet.

I have some data in " data available". Its something like, say fro
this km to this km, the # of birds observed is this much.

And I need to generate a chart, that appears as in " Chart I need"

I have used a scatter plot here using the data I copy into " How
arrange the data".

I have these questions.

1) I need a chart like what I have shown.
2) Is copying the data into the second sheet and charting based on th
data inthe second sheet the only option available?
3)If yes, what is the alternative?
4) If no, I want to automate this entire process using some formula
and Excel functions.

This is very necessary considering the fact that, I have thousands o
rows of such data.

Thanks and regards
Raj

No offence Raja, but I am very hesitant to download an excel spreadsheet
to have a look at it.

Is there any way you could outline your requirements in the body of
your message in a little more detail?

Ok here is how it is.

The basic or raw data is of the form

from to value
1 2 100
2 3 200
3 4 100
4 5 150
5 6 100

in sheet 1

I need to draw a scatter chart, with the data that is available i
sheet two, which look like, ( and is copied in this form from the abov
data)

1 100
2 100
2 200
3 200
3 100
4 100
4 150
5 150
5 100
6 100

This data is basically some numbers occuring between two points 1 and
, 2 and 3 and so on.

The problem I face is, more the data points, the more time it takes, s
I want to automate using some formulas, to generate tha data in shee
two. Unfortunately, I don't know to insert the chart here.

Thanks and regards,
Raj
