Hi,

I am experiencing a few difficulties of late, silly things like I used to be
able to type in a web address in the browser window then hold CTRL + ENTER
and (www.) & (.com) would automatically be inserted.. but not anymore! I
haven't changed any settings and am using IE version (6.0.2900.2180)

Please help

Might sound like a dumb suggestion, but I had someone whose left Ctrl key,
which he *always* used, had stopped working and had not thought of using the
one on the right-hand side... if neither works at least it rules out the
keyboard malfunctioning. Another test for Ctrl+Enter is in Word; it should
insert a page break.

Using Regedit, browse to the following registry key and make sure the noted
setting is correct:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AutoComplete]
"Append Completion"="yes"

also see the following values:

"Use AutoComplete"="yes"
"AutoSuggest"="no"
