Help - problem with opening new window in explorer

I am unable to open a new window from a wesite

example - bbc.co.uk
in the sports area of the site i am unable to open the video (usually
interview etc) - window opens but is 'transparent' if that makes sence.

had a pop up locker which worked well for ages then i had this problem.
removed blocker after this but blocker still exists

please help as stopping me from seeing lost of things i want to see and also
playing some games i used to play fairly recently

I have also restored advanced settings to default but no results!!
