HELP!!!PLEASE!!

Everytime i try to send an email this message appears...what should i
do!!please help!!


The host 'dianahndzlara' could not be found. Please verify that you have
entered the server name correctly.
Subject '', Account: '(e-mail address removed)', Server:
'dianahndzlara', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error:
11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

Check your security system. Something is not letting your mail thru. I was
receiving the same mesg. I need to remove AVG. For some reason windows vista
if that is what u r running did not like it on my computer. Once I took it
off my mail started coming thru. If that does not work make sure your
security system in windows are set up right to accomodate mail.
 
Hi, I do have Microsoft Vista... Can you tell me where to Change the
incorrect information for the Host/Server (see error message below). I
remember on the first email link I tried to forward it had asked me for my
information (and like Diane I entered the wrong information), but I entered
HTML instead of POP3... I need to know where to go to update this
information. The error message asks to "Please verify that you have entered
the server name correctly", but I don't know were to do this... there is no
link on the message to verify/change the info.

Hi, I just found the answer to my own question (Thanks Gary VanderMolen,
below), the information was in another postings reply "I cannot receive
emails from my email account gmail", you may find it helpful. I, like you,
entered the wrong information when asked or send about my host/server info.
when I tried to send an outging email and this link helped me.

Also, verify this setting: Tools, Accounts, select that mail account,
Properties, Servers. The box for "Log on using Secure Password
Authentication" should be unchecked.
 
I'm glad you found one of my earlier responses useful.
But be careful about using advice that may not be applicable.
Each mail provider has their own unique settings, and in the case
of Yahoo, it makes a difference if you are located in Singapore or the UK
or the US, etc.
