"a runtime error has occurred do you wish to debug line 169 error
permission denied"

Dooes anyone know why this happens. I did a google search and came up
with the suggestion to uninstall MS Office.

What is the reason for this message. Is it a Microsoft problem or is it
that web pages are not written correctly.

I also found the error mentioned here:

Thanks for any help anyone can give

I just got the solution:

That is a javascript error that would be generated by a poorly written
web page. Unfortunately poorly written web pages are not that uncommon.
I would turn of java script debugging and error notification. In IE
select Tools, Internet Options and go to the Advanced tab. Under
Browsing check "Disable script debugging" and remove the check from
"Display a notification about every script error."

If you have IE 6.0 got to Tools, then Internet Options, then on the new window that opens go to the Advanced tab, now scroll down to Browsing, Check the box for "Disable Script Debugging" and Uncheck the box for "Display a notification about every script error"
