I just installed windows xp home on a computer with no
operating system and I have no disk space for any
programs that I want to use. what is going on here?

XP needs at least 1.5 gigs of disk space to install - what size is your hard disk?

You tell us. Other than the fact that you have no space, you didn't tell us
a thing that ANYONE would need to trouble shoot your system. If you told a
doctor you were sick, but couldn't go to see him and wouldn't tell him ALL
of your symptoms, would you expect the doctor to diagnose your illness over
the phone? Of course not!

How large is your disk? It may be small enough that installing XP
left almost nothing over.
