Hello,
When I Check System Internals in Spybot, it shows :
Missing Shared DLL.

When I try to fix the error Spybot says:
A shared dynamic link library is registered with Windows, but could not be
found at given location.

Can somebody show me how to get the missing dll link.
I think because of this missing dll I cannot access an installed program in
my computer.
Regards.

1. Go to Start > Run and type: CMD , and hit enter.
2. In the Command Prompt window type: SFC /SCANNOW
and hit enter. Have your Windows XP CD available.

SFC = System File Checker. SFC will scan your system and replace
missing or damaged XP system files with the correct version.

What is the name of the .dll file?

Did you search for it on your machine to see if it exists?

From Spybot Search & Destroy HELP...
[[Missing shared DLLs – the registry contains a list of dynamic link
libraries, where they are located and how many programs use them. SpyBot-S&D
checks if all locations are correct and allows to change them if not.]]

pointing to non-existent help files. I've changed the first, but I wouldn't

Hi Wesley,
How do I find out the name of the .dll file?
How do I search it in my machine?

Your warning is really applicable to me.
Being a newbie and on the wrong side of 50 I have to tread very carefully.
Thanks

How do I find out the name of the .dll file?

When you run System Internals from Spybot Search & Destroy under the Entry
column you'll see for example...

C:\WINDOWS\System32\msvcp50.dll

Under the Category column you'll see...

Missing shared DLL

For the above example Spybot Search & Destroy looked in the registry at >>>

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SharedDlls\C:\W
INDOWS\System32\msvcp50.dll

Since msvcp50.dll is not present in C:\WINDOWS\System32 Spybot S & D flags
this.
How do I search it in my machine?

To search for a file on your machine follow this...
